Why not go back to eat once or twice...... go back to play some slots another time....... go back and play a non-blackjack table game again another time later...... and then if nothing has happened by that point test the waters on the blackjack table? If before the BJ trip they approach you, just say you were backed off at BJ and nothing else. If they insist you leave, say it is just a misunderstanding of the backoff and politely leave. They'd be a lot kinder in giving you the boot if you returned to play -EV games than going straight for BJ on your first trip back.

Take little nibbles (testing their boundaries) before taking a whole bite. Vaya con Dios!

No wonder they were fired.
I can almost guarantee you I was their first.

This seems like a good approach. As to the the post about why this restaurant is important, it's because my coworkers (summer job) and I frequent this place for lunch, and after work. As well as an annual banquet held on the September long weekend. Also it's the only place to warm up after being on the river when it's 5 celsius outside. I stopped by today, but not the casino part of the complex, I think next week after work I'll try the sports bar, then slots etc. Wish me luck.

If the restaurant is that important I wouldn't risk a total ban.

If this was a full time job and the only restaurant in the area I would agree. You wouldn't want to risk the ban having any negative effect on your employment (for me, my career takes priority over gambling etc). However, it sounds like it's a summer job (for a college/grad student?) and just a place to hang out, not something that's completely necessary for the job. If you get banned, suggest going to a different place to eat/for drinks and if your buddies insist then just back out and grab food somewhere else that day. Annual banquets can be "meh" anyways and turn the heat up in the car on 5 degree days!
