I've been excited about this since I saw the thread and trailer for this a while ago. I vaguely remember it saying it was coming out April this year.
Anyone got any information, I can't seem to find out anymore info.
nothing more than this link:

i believe this gentleman was on one of the chat's a while back, maybe at bjinfo?
No, it was here: http://www.blackjacktheforum.com/sho...-Carlston-Chat
In this case I would say no news is not good news.
Bet they can't find a distribution company. Promotion & distribution costs money, a lot of money.
Mr. Carlston himself mentioned film festivals and the like. Or perhaps demographic distribution, although card counting and other AP stuff is a pretty narrow demographic I'd say.
I too would love to see the final product.

Speaking from experience, distribution is a lengthy process especially for movies out of the mainstream. Eight months after we finished post-production, we finally signed an agent. For nearly 2 years it spent time on the film festival circuit, then a foreign deal was announced nearly a year before it was carried out. Finally this year it got a DVD release here in the states. Some people in the biz get this disillusionment that they should be paid thousands for their film (after all, it is hard work and cost $$$), so they will hold out for a better deal (that never comes). When Paramount approached us we were thinking mid-six figures with easy potential for seven figures. But they're prospective offer was closer to low six figures. And we have a pretty broad audience. For disclaimer, we didn't get that deal and most likely won't even make back the budget. But that's the nature of film.
If the movie is good enough it will be distributed. Even if not then the filmmaker can use self-distribution i.e. lulu or createspace
Woah! Check out those two massive bets he has laid out at 4:04 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKe4sgnwUK4 - THAT is one hell of a spread! LOL!
Yes, the trailer looks great...
