    Cool Ante Games

    Hi guys,

I am from minnesota and I purchased the cvbj and cvcx software in hopes of building a perfect game that i can eventually bring to casinos. After doing some research in the area, it looks like there are no $5 games that are beatable, they are all 6:5 blackjack, and one of them is an ante game. This leads to my question:

Can you beat an ante game in blackjack playing basic strategy + deviations with a bet spread. And is there a way to run a simulation of ante games on cvcx?

Antes simply subtract from your EV, but the calculation is a little tricky in that the BJ portion of your EV is subject to variance while the ante is a fixed expense, like travel.

You're basically never going to beat an ante 6 to 5 game with counting. I mean, I guess if it's single deck dealt to the last card and they allow mid-deck entry, you could technically do it. But real world, it's not happening.

A few 6 to 5 games are beatable, but you're going to need good conditions and a larger spread. And not with an ante.
