I hacked casinos for many years. Mainly with a speed hack.It was surprisingly simple to do even though the technique has never been made public in an AP context before. You can still do it albeit it is slightly harder to implement.
Basically anything client-side is very easy to hack. Server-side much harder though it wouldn't surprise me if there are people who have figured out ways to switch or sniff packets.
To speed hack most games I simply downloaded cheat engine and ticked the box marked "speedhack". It was so dumb it could have come out of an eighties film "HACKERMAN SWITCHES ON SPEED HACK" (cue synth music and montage of typing). You can probably find a simple tutorial to hack anything client side or get an ai to explain it you if you know how to jailbreak prompts (google it if you don't).
Speed hacks were and are very, very powerful. You can play 500+ hands a minute at blackjack or even more so any kind of edge at all at any game becomes very interesting.
That said you may understandably be thinking of hacking server-side features such as the result of hands, card totals or payouts. That's much tougher and probably does require post-graduate equivalent level skills. I say "equivalent" because many hackers are self-taught and wouldn't thrive in academia I'm just try to give you a metric for assessing how much work you'd have to put in. The only way I know of to do that would be by packet-sniffing or packet-switching-your computer basically sends the casino server information and occasionally through laziness/stupidity you can alter these packets in a meaningful way. It shouldn't be possible but sometimes these things aren't protected properly.
You probably aren't going to be able to hack anything too obvious. I'd focus on something not specifically related to payouts like the number of symbols on a slot to build up some kind of jackpot feature on a slot machine. Anything that seems unrelated to financial transactions that no one was paying attention to.
Most people using this stuff focus on video games rather than casinos. The top guys in that field make multiple seven figures pa. I think there are very few people interested in AP and hacking and you need to know both to exploit online casinos meaningfully.

Let's chat about hacking online live casinos. Honestly, it's a real bad idea. Not only is it illegal, but it's also totally unfair to the folks playing by the rules. Those casinos put a lot of effort into making sure everyone has a fair shot at winning. If you're looking to up your game, there are plenty of legit ways to do it. You can learn about the games, work on your strategies, and maybe even score some sweet bonuses. It's all about playing smart and having fun. Remember, gambling is supposed to be entertaining, not about trying to cheat your way to a win. So let's leave the hacking to the bad guys and stick to playing fair and square.
