Thank you 21forme
Another thing to think about:
Besides your comportment while backcounting, your jumping in mid-shoe and then jumping out may have annoyed another player at the table who subsequently complained to the dealer or pit. That may have flagged you as someon to watch for. It could have been another ploppy, or even another AP and your jumping in just ate away at the rich deck the AP has been waiting for. If you continued to do it and they figured you were backcounting, they decided low roller or not, they didn't want/need your business.
There's nothing wrong with backcounting to gain an edge. How you do it and handle yourself in the casino environment is critical. Also, no point trying to defend yourself saying you're only playing Basic Strategy and wish to speak to a Manager. Just leave.
The Cash Cow.
Read what you wrote: It's funny because I was just using that casino to increase my bank roll. Lots of wonging and went just about everyday after work but have taken less than $1,000 at a time.
So, you decided to become a card counter, but you have never read anything on how to behave while doing this ? Is it that you have never read a book on counting or never read a book that explains what to do or not do in a casino ? The way you approach counting shows a lazy attitude. You're probably in it for a year or two... Here's an advice: Do your homework before playing in casinos, not after.
G Man
Definitely, DEFINITELY, do not use a disguise at this point. If the joint is really that important to you, wait a long ass time, as in YEARS. Take note of who was there when you were backed off. If they are no longer there, it has been years, AND you are willing to change your MO, then maybe you can. And like 21forme says, don't get a player's card there and consider not getting one in any other casino close to there.
That's the only way that I personally would MAYBE play there again. You need to not resemble yourself in any way and that includes how you play, not just your physical features..
The one thing that you got going for you is that they don't have your name. Take that one advantage and create your strategy around it.
Do you know much about that process? I have seriously considered doing that myself. If you do though, can't they still google you to find out that you changed your name? May depend on the state, but I thought that there has to be an announcement that John Smith changed his name to George Jones. The reason being that you are not supposed to change your name to hide your identity (and therefore in effect, hide your past). If published to the local community, they will know who you are.
May not matter much if you change a common name to a common or uncommon name. But what if your name now is incredibly uncommon and then you change it? In this case it will be easy to find out that you changed to the name you are now using in the casino, rendering the strategy useless.
Thoughts?
I knew this fellow who was embarrassed by his name. Born as Herman Schitz, he decided that a change of name would be in order and thus, was in court on the day of change. Also people should know they can change name legally.
The judge, an empathetic man, could easily understand the reason why Mr. Schitz would want to change his name and so asked him - what would you like to change your name to - Herman thoughtfully paused for a moment before replying - I thought Peter would be very nice!
I know that you Freightman would appreciate this skit if you haven't seen it yet.

I have seen at least a handful of players standing their like some zombie from a horror movie, doing nothing but staring at the table, then suddenly they lurch forward and try to drop money on the table and buy in. The places I play at the dealers nearly always tell them no mid-shoe entry and they will need to wait OR they need to wait until the next hand is dealt before they can buy in. To be honest I have on several occasions asked the dealer and the player if they could wait until the shoe is done and the dealer has backed me up. I play all normally and it removes a TON of heat and if you know HOW to play all you can minimize your losses when the shoe goes very negative. The casinos I play at are smaller ones with only 4 blackjack tables running at any time, a $15 4-deck and some $10 6-deck so standing their like Frankenstein for 9-12 minutes as the 6-deck shoe is played down to a point it's turning positive is about as obvious as a freight train coming at you at 60-mph. Read some books and work on some techniques to count farther away and do it in a way that it's not noticeable. When I wong a table a cover play I have used is to ask my wife to come with me and we are standing their with drinks in hand, chatting away and then I say something like, "Honey, can I play a few hands before we hit the bar again?" She nods yes and then I sit down and play until the shoe goes cold and then get up with more chips than I started with ( usually ) and leave and then we come back later and do it a few more times. I am an older so trying to watch a table from over 10' or more away is impossible for me, so I look for camoflage.. Find a slot machine close enough that you can watch it or talk on the phone and pretend to look around like you are looking for someone. Good luck.. hopefully you have another cainso you can go to.
G Man, I spoke with an elderly gentleman at a table, and he told me years ago that he use to count. He said that you can't get away with it today because all of the sophisticated ways that one could get caught. I thought he was wrong as I was counting right beside him. I believe he is right now.
In all my conversations with dealers, none had a clue as to what I was doing. There strategy, advice at the tables were the opposite of basic Strategy and counting...pure voodoo. I would tell them that I would like to play longer at the table and all the shuffling takes too long. They would agree and place the cut card deeper into the shoe thus giving me even more penetration.
I skimmed over the those chapters regarding camouflage. I figured I wouldn't be on the radar since I wasn't betting big.
Those cameras are everything. All it takes is someone being curious about who you are and once they monitor your play, your done.
I asked for your advise and appreciate your response.
Thanks
