I just won 9 free $100 sports bets from playing an online blackjack promotion. Don't know much about sports betting but would it be stupid to bet on both sides to win. Is such a thing allowed?

This is usually prohibited and spelled out in the T&C as resulting in disqualification from the promotion. Better sure thing would to bet the other side on another platform. Less money, but it’s a sure thing. If you do it right, it’ll pay about 45% of your total value no matter what. Also, make sure you can withdraw any winnings on the free bets after only one play through.
I was just speaking with a pit boss friend of mine last weekend about this very topic. He said that several of his coworkers had signed up for two platforms with similar promotions at the same time. They then used the free bet vouchers to bet on one side of a game on one platform, and on the other side on the other. This wouldn't make sense with "real" money, but since the vouchers are free bets, the effective return was 50% of the value of the vouchers. .
I don't believe there are any additional playing requirements for these free bets as the playing requirements were made up front playing blackjack. For every $2,500 played on blackjack you got a $100 free bet. The blackjack gods were good to me on this promotion. I won on blackjack and also got the free bets. Just set a new high for the year, but for the last month I was pretty much just spinning my wheels.
One of my bets is on the Bengals to win tonight at -7. Up coming bets on the Lions at +2.5, and of course I can't bet against my Packers at -7.

Right, OK. I'll also offer my good luck to you.
There are plenty of other apps out there with promotions, though, that you could use in an "offsetting" approach to guarantee a win. No sure it is still offering it, but last weekend MGM was offering 2 $100 free bets on NFL games for an initial $10 bet on an NCAA game. So, for $10 (which you might be lucky enough to win back), you could get 2 offsetting bets to play the opposites side of what you're playing now.
Damn, just how bad can I get. I had 11 free $100 bets and only won on 2 of them.
