I think maybe it’s time to differentiate the minute differences between HC and NHC games.
In a shitty count, you want to burn through cards ASAP. NHC does that because dealer doesn’t take second card until all players have finished - Advantage NHC.
In a good to great count, when your bet is big, dealer peeks, scoops the table and the round is over right now. In NHC, everyone plays out first and then dealer scores blackjack. You are burning through more cards resulting in less rounds remaining to play, thus lower EV, your high spread in good count HC overcomes the cost of low spread shitty count - Comprende’ - Advantage HC.
Why does Freightman prefer NHC heads up or with one other fast player, with a fast dealer especially in consideration of above? Now, if dealer is peeking 38.5% (face card or ace up) the game slows down.
NHC, Have you ever seen a very fast and good dealer and player - both in sync with the other. The game is played at light speed. It’s a thing of beauty. Huge hands per hour easily overcome the HC advantage.
Some people's concept of humor is year after year of name-calling. Abusive ad hominem is a poor substitute for -- well, anything. Aceside's posts are rarely correct. Saying such is more useful than equally feeble attempts at rhetorical wit.
