I’m in the same position. Is there a way to contact you directly? Talk shop?
Currently on day 1 of the trip. Down $900 with 4 1/2 hours of play. First place backed me off by name after I bought in and played 3 hands flat betting. Pretty sure I'm in a database now. Well a two hour drive with no play time sucks, but the next place let me play for 4 1/2 hours. Currently taking a break to type this out in their parking lot. Recouping for round two. I'm gonna take the casinos down and you all have a front row seat.
Jason 528: sorry for not checking my thread sooner. You can hit me up on my side Facebook/messenger account I made just for blackjack: Craven AP. Anyone is welcome to reach out and talk.
Im surprised people are taking road trips and doing AP during Covid. My last trip was in October and I basically freaked out and havent gone back since. That was back when we had 70,000 cases a day. Now its 200,000. Fuck that.
I didn't understand it before, but now I know why some people here don't like you.
Day 2 update: I finished off day 1 -$175 total after 5 1/2 hours of play. Today I'm +$2600 after 6 hours with one backoff. As far as cashing in the chips I'm just waiting until a different shift and changing my hat + jacket to get my last $1060 out. Honestly haven't tried this before so it's a little sketchy.
Anyone who wants to can go get the money. I hope I inspire a few of you newer card counters by posting my sessions as this is what I was looking for six months back.
If you were looking for encouragement 6 months back, you are in no position to advise/mentor/encourage anyone. How do you know you are not misleading them? I have a friend who was raving about his Tesla for the first year now deeply regrets purchasing it. You think someone who has success counting cards for 6 months or even 2 years are assured of success over a life time?
Its one thing to risk a bit of money to make a bit more money but when you risk getting Covid-19 taking road trips and hitting casinos...we’ll consider addiction as a cause as well.
There is no “hysteria” in saying that after a few years success you have determined that you can make a career out of counting cards and that you are now expert enough to encourage others. You are not! Most who learn how to count cards and all the relevant info still fail. It’s been estimated that well over 90% of card counters don’t last more than a few years (there are slow learners in denial of their own abilities). It’s a hard profession to be successful in.
Now, if you mean “hysteria” about Covid-19, whatever the conspiracy theory you believe in (other deaths classifies as Covid related deaths, mask less people you know never getting it etc)., the fact is that there have been far more deaths in any month in 2019 and on, then in any month in the previous years. What are they dieting off?
Well, vehicle deaths vary enormously by age also, with huge peaks at 16-17 and 80+. If you get Covid at 80+, you are more likely to die. If you are in a car crash at 80+, you are also more likely to die. I advise avoiding both.
I doubt there's a stat on it, but I would wager that you would be more likely to die in a car crash or with Covid if you had underlying medical conditions.
