Thread: Better to readjust betting at +- 20% bankroll keeping RoR <= 1% or differently?

I should also have mentioned that readjusting your unit bets after a 20% up or down change is not as easy as it sounds due to house table preset minimum/maximum bets. If the adjustment is done on the minimum bet side like going from green to red you will also be dealing with more crowded tables and higher up front house edges. Another point, who the hell wants to periodically attempt recouping bigger losses while now playing at a smaller unit? Anyone who thinks that is enjoyable it is not.

Good points. It's no fun yes, will take more time to even break even after a big loss but it's better to play small and get the hours in than to let RoR become unmanagable.

You can mathematically determine ev, ror for a given bankroll, play conditions and spread. What no one can do is tell anyone else what is an "acceptable" game and approach. There are too many factors involved in terms of our risk tolerance, ability to raise more funds, etc. What works for someone may not work for someone else. The idea of resizing after a 20% loss may be ok for some as it keeps them in the game and lowers ROR, for others it is not acceptable as the Ev wont be high enough to make it worthwhile and takes longer to dig out of the hole. To each his own.

Not at all true. Not understanding the game and knowing your ROR is foolish.

I meant, why would anyone making ROR a priority choose Blackjack? Go to community college, keep your current job, etc.
