I have also seen someone trying this move only it was a man doing it. The dealer handled it perfectly by pulling the persons bet back immediately and issuing a stern warning that it will not be done again or he will get himself thrown out.

Eventually, WHAT, that was not handling it properly, the dealer was not doing his/her job correctly, and you enabled it to continue temporarily. This was on you, sour grapes after the fact. The problem should have been solved well before the replacement dealer took over.

The occurrence should never have happened if you insisted that the dealer correct it properly when it immediately took place before the woman received her first card, or exactly at that point it took place.
