[QUOTE=PinkChip;279828]But at least the diagram shows a clear overall upward tendency. My biggest fear is to have a losing streak right at the beginning. Yours was after you had reached a quite comfortable high level.[/QUOTE

Its a great chart of a highly successful player. It’s kind of like looking at the chart of a pro golfer on the PGA tours, noting that you indeed have a set of golf clubs in your garage, setting out on a career playing golf. Yeah, you might make it to the PGA tour or you might end up as a golf pro at your local country club or a part time golf teacher at the local high school, most likely you would end up playing golf every now and then with a couple of locals, winning bets by beating them. Maybe take a trip or two to play golf in the Bahamas.

You can’t under estimate the innate talents and characteristics required to be successful long term. I would think your chances at golf are better than your chances at BJ beyond a certain point.

One thing I’d like to point out about the graph: it’s hard to look at the graph and determine the hours of play. Each movement on the graph represents results input on a spread sheet. So if I played 5 10-hour sessions, vs 50 1-hour sessions, the 50 sessions will take up a larger portion of the graph, vs the 10 hr sessions, despite the fact that they represent an equal amount of time. That’s why the 300 hr losing streak looks longer than the 398. I was playing a lot of short sessions during my 300 streak and I was playing a lot of marathons during the 398 hr streak. Mainly because I had like a couple places that were just giving me a ton of time.

How many times were you backed off during this career?

Between back offs, counter measures, and 86's... I'm just a little shy of 200. Probably over that amount if you count all of the close calls that I ran away from before anyone could officially approach me. But that figure also includes getting counter-measured or backed off at the same casino several times each. So that figure does not represent being backed off from 200 different casinos.

As far as "high stakes" goes... I guess that's relative. I was betting 2x500, when I lost that 23K. I had short period where my top bets were ranging anywhere from 2x600 to 2x1,000, but I've played stakes more consistently in the 2x300 to 2x500 range (top bets). I'd say that's probably more "mid-level stakes." Anything above 2x500, I'd consider high stakes.

Most places I play are not local, so I'm carrying a trip roll with me. I guess based on the stakes I'm playing will determine how much I'm traveling with. I'd travel with anything between 20 and 40K. As far as session roll... I'd probably leave a lot of the cash at the hotel and just walk into the casino with 15K or so. When I was playing a bit higher stakes, then I was carrying 20K+ with me inside the casino. It just depends. It's never the same.

Dont be so modest. If it was easy, there would be a lot more AP’s. You guys have a mental make up and personality factors that make you successful. Given the number of forums, YouTube tutorials, boot camps, books and resources, tables would be full of successful AP’s. They aren’t.
