Hi,
Is it possible to calculate units won per shoe WITHOUT any simulations ?
James
if you don't want to simulate the plays, you may have to count how many shoes are played in that session. CV has a history that has a statistics feature. under that dropdown there is a streaks subset. this will give you how many hands are won and how many units are lost. The rest is Hands won devided by shoes played.

Maybe I'm missing something....but wouldn't you just calculate average # of rounds per shoe (2.7 cards used per spot played)...then multiply the # of rounds by your EV/rnd?

I figure you're right. And the question is still the same: how do you determine the line by line e.v.s of each true count without simulation? Or are you assuming that, for say, Hi-Lo, you can just use 0.50% per true, which is an approximation, but certainly not very accurate? Moreover, where are you getting the line by line frequencies from, since the profit per shoe is a result of multiplying the above two variables by the corresponding bet sizes and then summing the products?
