is it just me or how many times have we yelled at player quote "you just took the dealers BRAKE card"
i think that being said, its TRUE!
just to clarify, i have 13 (dealer showing a break card) i decide to stay, the dealer draws the next card is an 8. he winds up making something and beats me. the 8 would have given me 21. i look at that as a mistake. i should have hit.
im looking to go thru a shoe without making an mistakes and if i do i need to make sure i compensate for that loss and make up with it by possibly staying next time as i would feel more confident knowing i lost the last time i stayed.
if i go thru the shoe with making more than 1 mistake (it throws off the whole shoe) i will wind up walking away or taking a break and coming back to the shoe after a few rounds depending how the shoe is going
also one more thought. if the whole table is playing basic strategy, what would be some of my most advantage moves knowing that everyone is playing orthodox, and im the notorious un-orthodox player?
I like to sit in the last position (the anchor) and i usually only feel confident hitting when i see the other players who hit land 17-21 without busting. is there a mathimatical reason why i should hit when i see the other players hit and acutally land something good and not just bust?
Other players at the table don't matter. This thread is yellow because what you are talking about is extremely poor play and we don't want people coming here to get bad advice without some sort of warning.

other players at the table dont matter? I dont know what you are trying to imply for your theory of large numbers truly has no bearing in playing blackjack at a casino! Countless times i have been screwed over by other players because they eat up cards when the count is high and take the cards i need, etc.
since this thread is moved to the other section i want to say i think Norm is a shill working for the casino and wants people to think its ok to lose as long as you play basic strategy. I find his software way over the top and like blackjack expert, which has given me a fair shuffle everytime. not to mention ive seen people betting 100,000 a hand like comeon' people playing your software are the laughing stock of the casino.
The mathematical foundations of modern statistics were laid in the 16th and 17th century with the development of probability theory by Gerolamo Cardano, Blaise Pascal and Pierre de Fermat and built upon over the centuries. Bernoulli’s Law of Large Numbers, based on Cardano’s 16th Century work, was first published in 1713 and is the basis for much of statistical study. What you are talking about is empirical evidence, the use of which has made casinos billions from gambling addicts. For some words on this, see http://www.blackjack-scams.com/html/prog__systems.html.

No. That would be a correct mistake.
Here is an example of a "wrong mistake" (from your post #39).

Whatever the criteria for trolling are, imho, they have been met.
