I think you're probably right Cinccinnati Kid. I wish I'd gotten more specifics from this guy about where he saw this, but I assumed at the time he was probably misinterpreting whatever story he'd seen. I mean, if I remember right, he was talking about a single session win from a "counting team" that was several million dollars. That's just hard to swallow, even if he wasn't talking about Detroit. I'm pretty sure there was some misinterpretation or exaggeration there - for all I know, he may be interpreting any kind of team action, like the grifters in the Cigar Afficianado scheme, as a counting team. I will try and get more specifics when I see him again.

Detroit isn't really northeast (it's more north central)

A team of ten players each making $5,000 a day would make a million dollars in twenty playing days. Divide that up into the three seperate shifts and it means each player would have to do about $1700 a shift. If this went on for three months, they'd average about $500 a shift.
A million dollars over three months by a dedicated team would be quite simple. Anyone who thinks its impossible is being paranoid.

I am plenty sure he is a high roller to win that much. Since the games there is not that good if you play low stake.
