Do you know of a place that allows playing on the second split card before the first split card? I don’t. This whole post made little sense. Playing 10 mins and leaving a casino because you're up $50? Come on.
This post sounded like fantasy land, or more likely troll land. He’s played Hilo for several years and asked these questions? Come on now. This made no sense. He got the responses he was looking for. I liked his handle and the title of the thread. This told me all I needed to know about where this thread was going.
I figured you saw the inconsistencies. Just felt like adding my two cents.
My favorite part was when Bogusjack said he drove a couple miles to his local casino with his wife and played half a shoe (10 mins) and then drive home. Who does that? I don’t care how close you are to a casino. I’ve never heard of one person doing this, let alone a husband and wife team. All for $50? This part was actually pretty funny.
You got got to give Bogusjack credit though. A lot happened in those ten mintues. Most of it were things nobody thought were possible. Lol
Lol. Not a husband and wife team, she doesn’t play table games. She blows the cash at the slots. We were out shopping at the outlets across the street and at the last minute she wanted to play a little slot action before heading home. I had no intentions to play just was going to watch her play slots. When I saw very few players at one of the tables I hopped on. No big deal. Since my wins came fast and she was out of cash I decided to cash out. When you have a casino close to work and home it’s not unusual to stop by it and play a shoe on lunch from work or even on the way home from work. Happens all the time. Too me little wins in an hour or so at a time add up. On the contrary if i’m out with guys and we are playing together it’s not unusual to play for 3 or 4 hours. It can go either way. The casino is close not like I have to drive hours or take a vacation to do it.
What were you thinking! You hit the first hand and got a four. I assume you hit it again and then got an eight. That would be a 20, but instead you split the eight which really can't be split again since the four came first. Or you decided to stay on 12 and moved to the second hand, again a bad move, and then got the 8, and if that is the case why would they let you go back and play the 12 again. Nothing makes sense.

What do you mean Sharky? His comments support my contention. He said he only played half a shoe so where the cut card is located had no impact on him.
Look Sharky, you can believe what you like. Let’s call a truce on this. Since there are so many variables in this debate, I’ll never be able to prove you wrong and visa versus.
If you want to believe moving the cut card back will increase casinos revenue and profits 3 fold or some other ridiculous multiple, go ahead. It doesn’t matter to me. For whatever reason, I know this is a very important belief within the AP community. You need to believe what helps you float your boat.
As for how I believe about the cut card, I think most casinos are doing it right, meaning they are maximizing revenues while protecting themselves. In my area, most casinos have dealers always standing in front of empty tables. Here’s a news flash for you. When a dealer is standing in front of an empty table, it doesn’t matter where they put the cut card. The cut card is the least of their worries. What they need is more customers....not faster dealers or deeper pen.
As for me going forward, I’ll continue to try to find the best games, with the best pen. I’ll let you worry about what a casino should or should not do. I’m just going to worry about what’s in my control. I wish you the best.
Okay let me go over this slowly since I too am curious to see if the dealer did the order correcty:
1. Dealt a pair of 8’s
2. Split the 8’s. Hand one is now an 8 and hand two is now an 8.
3. Dealer places a 4 on hand one for a 12
4. Dealer places an 8 on hand two for a 16
5. Dealer would like me to make a decision on hand 2 by gesturing with a finger point.
6. I split the 8’s of hand 2. Now hands two and 3 are a single 8. The dealer places an 8 on hand 2 for a 16 and place an 8 on hand 3 for a 16.
7 I ask dealer if I can split hand 3. The answer was no. Dealer then gestures me back to hand 1 which is the 12. I hit and I received a 9 for a total of 21. Hand 1 is completed
8. Dealer gestures to hand 2 which is 16. I hit and bust
9. Dealer gestures to hand 3 which is 16. I ask if I can surrender. Dealer says sure. I gesture surrender with my hand and i’ve given back half my bet
What country was this in? That is not how anyone is accustomed to having the cards dealt. You finish hand 1 before any cards are dealt to hand 2. That means, until you complete play on hand 1, you never get 2 cards on hand 2 and only get a hand 3 if hand 1 receives an 8 for its card immediately after the first split. So you would never split in the order you specify or get to play hand 1 after getting cards on hand 2.
