I have asked several critters as to how much it costs to lease ASM's and CSM's. Without exception, no one has been able to tell me. The General (known) consenus is a that they're not cheap.

Since no one in this thread has been able to relay a monthly cost figure, a reasonable hypothesis would be that the lease rental rate is confidential and not to be disclosed. Thus, those in decisions n making Nv authority, and their superiors, would not disclose to floor staff those particular costs.

Further, it would be reasonable to assume that different lease programs at different rate amounts would be offered to the various casinos.

The rental fees for ASM and CSM are quite high. So small casinos only rent a few of them for full time tables. For additional tables they only open on weekends and holidays, they will hand shuffle these part time tables. This creates the opportunity for us counters.

A casino I visit only uses a few ASM's. When I showed up one morning to play my usual table, they did not have the ASM at the table and I noticed fewer ones. The pit guy that day told me, this is 2 years ago, that they cost $1800 a month. He also said a few cost more (these had Windows on them).

The ones with black and white window are ASM/mod3. The ones with colored window are ASM/mod4. I am pretty sure I can beat mod3 when they are in clump mode because they tend to clump rank of four or eight/nine with plenty of face cards in the bottom of shoe (before you put the red card to cut the shoe). Mod4 can wrap around so I cannot really locate the clumps.

Which was the case at my local. But they decided to install CSMs on all tables at all times a few months ago. This place is small-ish but is owned by a resort and franchise group. It just made me wonder at the expense of leasing these CSMs and at what point, if ever, that they would revert back to how it was previously.
