Playing only blackjack is getting a bit tedious for me - I want to play some other games as well.
Anyone can comment about Three Card Poker, and maybe some strategy in terms of statistic?
Thanks.
You may want to take a look at "Advantage Play for the Casino Executive" by Bill Zender. It's written from the perspective of how a casino executive would "protect" games that are vulnerable. It has articles on three card poker, shuffle tracking, roulette wheel bias, etc.
u want to play X92 where X is whatever you see. so if u see a Q u play Q92, if u see king u play K92, if u see ace u play A92, if u see jack or less u play anything.
basic strategy (if u see nothing) is play Q64

Yes, Meistro's reference is good. BEWARE OF VARIANCE. Most of your edge (3.48%) comes from the pay table on big hands that have low frequencies.
Take a look at Mississippi Stud, better variance higher ev, performs better with a partner.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
The Wizard of Odds post a strategy for Face up Three Card Poker that yields a house edge of 4.3%.

If you can find hole card opportunities Three Card Poker is a profitable game.
I agree with the above. Playing “one card poker” is profitable but the variance is scary. Another consequence few people talk about is the civilian heat that comes with raising 7 high. You look like a total dumbass and then they will inevitably talk about how you’re not playing the pair plus and how “that would have been a lot of money”.
Then in the next hand they’ll see you fold an ace and bring attention to that too. Can be avoided by hiding your cards I guess but I didn’t realize these side consequences at the time.
