$3K, or $30K, or $3 -- if you can't afford to lose it (financially or emotionally) then don't make the bet.
Yeah, but you have to admit, you've never quite seen anything like the FIVE final plays of last night: Touchdown Oakland! Oops, not quite. Down at the half-yard line. Touchdown Oakland again! Oops, not quite. Offensive pass interference. Incomplete pass. Game over. Oops, not quite. Defensive holding. Incomplete pass. Game over (again!). Oops, not quite. Defensive holding (again). Touchdown Oakland! And this (FIFTH) time, it counts! Now, have to kick the point. NOW, FINALLY, game over!
I've been watching football for well over 60 years and never seen anything remotely like that sequence. And if you bet 30K, one way or the other, there is a 63K swing riding each time -- FIVE friggin' times in a row. I say the guy has a right to have his heart beating a little faster.
Don
With my damaged heart and my blood pressure,
I am glad that I did not bet the game. L.O.L.
I lean heavily toward underdogs playing at home,
and all of that but I hate the Chargers, so I saved
myself from a stroke or a coronary. Then again I
absolutely never bet enough to be concerned.
the SAINTS visit Lambeau Field today minus "touchdown Arron" according to Vega$ who opened this one GB +4 when we all know had AR been playing they'd be at least a 4 point favorite the public felt he was the "10 point man" betting this one all the way to +6.5 before settling in at 3.5...believe it...he IS THAT good, and without Him....they are THAT bad...take New Orleans -3.5 for today's play
Good luck,
Sharky
Last week: 0-1
Season: 1-5 (YIKES!@#!)
the TEXAS State Correctional Institution (aka the "Texans") visit the Seahawks today in a match up I liked, until the owner opened his "pie hole" and became a distraction....oh, well...taking anyways as have not history with these situations...in an inmate revolt, take HOUSTON +6.5 for today's play
Good luck,
Sharky
Last week: 1-0
Season: 2-5
EaglesThey have a quarterback and pass rushers. That's usually a good combination. They are rolling.--7-1-0
PatriotsThe defense is getting better, even without some key players. That's a good sign moving forward. The trade of Jimmy Garoppplo was the smart thing to do.--6-2-0
SteelersThey are peaking now and might be the most-balanced team in the league. Will it be that way come January?--6-2-0
ChiefsThey bounced back in style against the Broncos Monday night to take command of the division race. They face a tough one at Dallas this week.--6-2-0
RamsThey come off their bye with a long road trip to play the Giants. But they've had some long ones already, including at London two weeks ago. Are they ready to push for a division title? --5-2-0
SeahawksThe offense is explosive with the way Russell Wilson is playing. He is carrying this team right now.--5-2-0
SaintsIs the defense for real? It sure looks like it is for now. Dennis Allen is doing a heck of a job with that side of the ball.--5-2-0
VikingsThe defense continues to carry this team, but Case Keenum is doing a nice job. Can it continue?--6-2-0
BillsSean McDermott is in the conversation for Coach of the Year. He's done a heck of a job, but the next five weeks will define this team. The schedule gets tougher.15-2-0
FalconsWas that a season-saving victory against the Jets? They face a brutal division game this week on the third of three straight road games against Carolina.14-3-0
CowboysThey've won two straight, both on the road, to get back on track. But now comes word that star runner Ezekiel Elliott is likely gone for the next six games -- pending an appeal of his suspension.14-3-0
JaguarsThey traded to get defensive tackle Marcell Dareus from the Bills during the bye. It's obvious they think they can make a playoff push. 34-3-0
PanthersThe offense still isn't clicking, but they found a way to beat the Bucs behind the defense. They will need to score more this week against Atlanta.45-3-0
RavensThat was an impressive showing against Miami last Thursday night. The defense looked to be back.134-4-0
DolphinsThat was really ugly at Baltimore. Coach Adam Gase was wise to call out his offense because it's offensive.64-3-0
TitansThe bye came at a good time for Marcus Mariota and his ailing hamstring. They face a tough Ravens defense this week.24-3-0
TexansDeshaun Watson has made this an offensive team. With the way the defense is playing, it needs to be.43-4-0
PackersThe bye had to help to get them healthy, and give Brett Hundley more time as the starting quarterback. Can he get them to the playoffs?24-3-0
RedskinsAt 3-4, with two straight losses, they face an almost must-win this week at Seattle. That won't be easy with a banged-up offensive line.13-4-0
BroncosIs it time to make a change at quarterback? They just aren't good enough on offense with Trevor Siemian right now. 13-4-0
LionsThey've lost four of their last five games and face a big division road game this week.13-4-0
Chargers They continue to lose close games, which they did at New England. At some point, they have to change that.13-5-0
BengalsThey made it interesting against the struggling Colts, and now must go to Jacksonville and face that good defense. That won't be easy.53-4-0
RaidersThis season is going bad. They have major defensive issues, which show up every week. That puts too much pressure on the offense.23-5-0
BearsThe defense shows up every week, which helps keep them in games. But they aren't good enough on offense yet.23-5-0
JetsThey are a feisty team, but two straight losses have them at 3-5. They face a big division game against the Bills Thursday night. 23-5-0
CardinalsThey come out of the bye with Drew Stanton as their starting quarterback with Carson Palmer out. That will be a challenge for this team.23-4-0
BuccaneersAt 2-5, a season that seemed so promising in the preseason looks to be going off the rails. They have to win this week at New Orleans -- or else.22-5-0
ColtsWith news that Andrew Luck will get his shoulder looked at again, they might be without him all season long. It's going to be a long season.--2-6-0
GiantsThey come out of their bye hoping to turn things around. But the reality is they are playing for next year.
49ersThey aren't getting much production from rookie passer C.J. Beathard, which probably led to the trade for Jimmy Garoppolo. Now they have to pay him.
Browns Is there any reason to think they won't be in this spot at the end of the season?
They just aren't good enough to win right now. --0-8-0

MY SELECTIONS in RED
BEST BET OF THE WEEK: Kansas City
KC, fresh off of a bye week, visit what has quickly became the laughingstock of the league....losing to bad teams without any effort.....reported they had a "team only" meeting...suspect Chris Rock emceed....in a LAUGHER...take the CHIEFS -9.5 for this week's play
Good luck,
Sharky
Last week:1-0-0
Season: 4-5-1
Everyone be advised that we are currently experiencing gale winds in NYC, with gusts up to 40-50 mph. It is clear that long passes and the entire kicking game will be affected. While taking KC appears to be an easy pick, I might also suggest the under (currently 45?). With the Giants' offense, to go over, KC would probably have to score most, if not all, of those 45 points by themselves!

"END OF REGULATION: MIDGETS 9 - CHIEFS 9 - OH YEAAAAAH!!!! HOW SWEET IT IS"
12-9 final. As I said, they could play TWO games and not go over 45.
The first 85K I'm going to spend on wine, women and song. And the last 6 I'm going to squander. Party Time!!!!!!
Excuse me, but that only adds up to 91. Do you want my address, for the last 9, to send my commission?!
"Thanks Don. I won't forget this. I'm going to recommend your book to everyone I know even if they don't play blackjack!!!!!"
LOL. But, if you told me what you were going to bet, I would have been afraid to post the play!!
Happy for you.
Don
