    Since I used a spread of only 1-8 in the I18 study, I have to imagine that the increase over 0.936 would be very significant. You insure at +3 in shoe games, and so you're close to your top bet at that point. Naturally, you also insure at higher TCs, but more often at +3 than at any of the others. The edge could double. Compare what you'd be betting at +3 with a 1-8 spread to what you'd be betting with 1-20.
