Certainly more variance in poker so idk if you can assume everyone will be "numb" to the swings. Perception is that many people who call themselves poker pros, and I've seen it from several LV locals who call themselves pros (idk if they are) have a tendency to degen it up on table games for some whatever reason.

I never understood that (perhaps because I'm sorta a stingy-life-nit, despite blowing up several bankrolls and high variance play style in poker), but for someone who crushes the poker world, it blows my mind that they can have a leak in a pit game that is certainly - EV (let's say roulette). Like how you going to be +EV and grinding poker, then blow a portion/all of it back in pit games. Chino Rheem is a classic example, won millions of dollars from poker, but completely broke and the #1 most notorious gambler who's in debt to everyone due to pit games.

As far as poker pro goes in my book, it means you support and live off the game as a primary source of income. If you can do so, then you're a pro in my book. Regardless of whatever stake it may be. Though we haven't figured out our BP yet, the guy is a natural act (I met him at the 5/10 NL in Vegas and this guy was chatting up the entire table from second one - he's got that "Vibe"). Found out he was just messing around and he plays generally 50/100 NL in private games. Sick life. Sure he'll be composed blasting away for us. (I HOPE)!

    Cliffnotes:

    - Shrinking down the first run or two, like severely. Before the ramp up to the $500-$1000.
    - Considering using a bigger spread. Though I wanted it to be more of a flat bet (2:1) so it's less obvious it's ramping with the count.

    - I think I simmed it having the BP entering at TC+3 with exit at TC-0 (IS THIS TOO AMBITIOUS)?
    - I don't think we have enough spotters for the BP to be in enough action. This might cause him to have idle time, which we want to avoid.
    - Might have to adjust entry at TC+2 and increase the spread to compensate (as suggested this could be the 4:1) ($250-$1000)

We are going to implement the BP strat. 3 spotters, 1 BP. We are using a level two count. All of us are poker pros who are emotionally numb to the swings.

Our first test run trip bankroll is $40K ($10K from each).
We'll be using a 2:1 spread of $500 to $1000 for the BP.
    Thoughts on the spread?

If things run okay for a few trips, our first real bankroll will be $100K ($25K each)

For the BP, when asked for a player's card, should he give up his ID. Or NEVER EVER? At all cost never?
I assume the spotters should give up player ID? Or no as well? Comps cant be that much for min bet.

How long should we lurk around in the casino for? What's pushing our limits?
Wow, there are a lot of things that need understanding and consideration for this venture.

Your test bankroll is a good idea but not with those bet levels. Your BP can blow up 10K in a shoe at 1,000 bets. Or bring more money.

How do you certify the players technical ability?

How do you report and track results?

    Never use players cards!

Eliminate bet ramp for BP, flat bet at hilo TC 2, Zen and Hi Opt II ASC TC 3 or higher.

    How do the spotters signal?

How many call ins per hour will you get?

How many rounds per call in will the BP get?

What is the BP protocol when the count goes back below his entry threshold.

Does the BP play into the next shoe after a call in?

What games are acceptable and which are not?

Do not stay more than 1.5 hours in casino.

How do you communicate with each other in the casino?

Do you have a protocol when backed off?

What is the protocol for cashing chips?

How is the team cash bank managed?

What do you do if a player makes a costly mistake?

How do you share in winnings and losses?

    What expenses are acceptable?

You may think poker is way more difficult but it may be because you are not yet experienced in team play. We will see.

+1. Big player this is the bad old strategy. You must play solo.

Most of the places I've solo gone to, I've pretty much exhausted myself at. So unless I start traveling solo and trying to find "isolated" gems. That's a pretty lonely existence (heck and possibly wasted time).

What I can do, is use my knowledge of the places I Know of, bring the team, be a spotter (they must've forgotten me by now, it's been approx a year up coming). Don't show ID. And still reap the rewards.

As for Stealth's GREAT questions. I will respond to that in a little while. I have half of them answered, the other half. I'll get to.

Well the selective properties I had in mind were not popular properties, but rather hidden gems. I'm not even sure if they are subscribed to anything (but I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to these things). The reasoning is, as a solo player, I took hefty 5 figure score using a ridiculous spread and got away for the "longest" time. I could only imagine the damage with team play.

Then that means I probably shouldn't even count as a SPOTTER in Vegas for an example. Because I know I'm facial rec'ed in a few of the chains. Like Total Reward properties I believe.

20:1, You have need for answers to many questions regarding team play. I am willing to have the discussion to share from some of my experiences should you desire.

I suspect my earlier list identified things that you had not considered issue yet. Continuing to respond "one at time" on a forum is not my choice. PM me and we can talk by phone.
