With all due respect Mr.Zen, your advice does seem sound like the Hail Mary approach with your suggested bet spread against an 8 decker with a bankroll of 5 grand. Wouldn't it be quite suicidal? Your R.o.R is extremely high. Thank you for your reply

Since I am a noob to the site, I think he assumed I was a noob to BJ, and was just giving me advice on getting started. Also I think he might have meant that $5 - $15 was a good betting unit, not a good betting spread. Thanks for looking out for me though.

At $5 minimums, $5,000 will suffice.
Risk of Ruin will be quite reasonable.

    *Some Conditions May Apply, Like:

    *Count System
    *Side Rank Tracking
    *Indices
    *Penetration

With his 5K bank, he is not fighting the casino at that point, but 'racing against Standard Deviation' to get to the 'long run' first.

Yes ... BR requirements vary tremendously due to table conditions,
count employed, the accuracy of betting and playing, and heat level.

What I tell my students, with a High Score 800 units may suffice
while in a Low Score game you will need as much as double that.
