This is partly because the free and subscriber forums are displayed on the same page. Also, clicking on New Posts gives you all new posts to all forums where you have access, free, subscription and private. I've never tried to increase subscriptions. If increasing subscriptions makes sense to members, suggestions are always welcome. Reorganization is also quite simple. This software is amazingly powerful and customizable.
