Okay, time to end this string. Nothing more is being accomplished.
I will just say that, contrary to the hypothesis, I'm not a "naive younger person." In fact, I'm older than dirt, and have a ton of hours under my belt. BJ has been and continues to be my only source of income....except that now I'm old enough to also draw Social Security. As I said, I'm older than dirt. But still counting, still have a nice income from the game, and still correcting dealer errors even when they benefit me at the table.
I've never been backroomed or beaten up. Backed off---yes. But never bludgeoned. In terms of grey-area ethical decisions, each person makes those decisions for themselves. Your opinions of my own ethical standards are......meaningless.
I know that MANY players take the attitude of "Dealer mistakes are not my problem. In fact, good for me when I am overpaid." Their choice. I do not sit in judgement. Just as I cannot play another player's hand, I cannot make ethical decisions for them. I make decisions only for myself---the way I play my cards, and the way I deal with ethical decisions.
I am finished with this thread !!
