When I was more like a full-time Pro, I would wear nice sport jackets
and fine bling as "looking like I had money to lose" did, indeed, afford
me some better comp's and pit boss favors, etc. Much of it was rather
intangible though ~ just a far more welcoming (and tolerant) attitude.

Raises an interesting point. Though I don't care about being dressed well (usually casually to semi well dressed comfortable), I do insist on being clean comfirtable and relaxed. This includes a good breakfast or lunch. Relaxed means well rested. If I'm tired prior to arriving at a venue, I'll lie down for a nap first. Helps with mood, comportment etc.

This is a really good point. I'm not one for "Disguises" in terms of wigs and mustaches and such, but since I work 300+ days a year, I'm usually dressing to my demographic. I might just wear jeans and a tshirt on Wednesday night at Isle, but come Saturday at GN, I might be dressed to the Nines.

I try to look like I have more money than sense at the table, and if I talk it's about a popular TV show or the game on TV. No reason to let them think I may be edumacated...

Outside of Las Vegas, I generally think that those over 60 get less scrutiny with the younger ones getting the most. This is especially true during non holidays and week days (where you are expected to be at work or school).
