APs have caught the attention of the NY Times

The article, tiled "Casino Hustlers" is in today's NY Times Magazine and features James Grossjean, Richard Munchkin, & other big names in the AP community. The article discusses edge sorting & other advanced techniques.
Not surprisingly, there is little that hasn't been in the news lately.

    A direct link.

Very interesting article!!! I was very surprised at the level of details given up by the AP's.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

I was lucky enough to stumble onto some of those games as well. They were truly a thing of beauty. To give JG and his crew full credit, they killed those games several times over. The casino kept changing the game, changing the procedures and changing the equipment. Unfortunately they didn't understand what was happening so they kept getting whacked over and over again. I would laugh every time I went to one of those casinos and saw a revised version of the game. He might as well have spray-painted "JIMMY WAS HERE" on the felt. Some of the tables began to disappear while others reached a point of unexceptional stasis. You know, those games that are beatable but not really playable. And you can still see the ghosts of slain games all over the country.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
