Never use the ATM at the casino. They can backtrack on those. They are not the banks atm's - there the ones that charge you an arm and a leg. I've never used a casino ATM.

Are you paranoid? I think you are patting yourself on the back to much. If they really wanted to found out who you are they will. Be sure to cover your face when you come in the casino. Facial recognition. I am sure your face is somewhere on the internet. Maybe facebook or pictures you took with someone and they posted them on the internet.

    Nope!
    1. Dickwad response
    2. Very good reason for not doing so. See if you can figure it out for yourself.

OTOH, going over to an ATM and pretending to use it makes you look like a degenerate gambler.

From the EITS, that's true. However, a post sometime ago, possibly here or elsewhere, explained how the house can track you down from the ATM machine - should the house so desire.

Try as hard as you like but eventually you get BO at many casinos. I have played for decades and been banned at almost half a dozen casinos in Vegas for shooting dice and 1 casino in Vegas for Counting Cards. I have been backed off at 2 other casinos in the US. One for winning too much and the other for Counting Cards.

That's what most have to say when they have no response to the truth.

T3, reread his post. He was taking a cheap shot at me.

I can HONESTLY say in 13 years I only had trouble a couple of times. I am only a part time player. I still have beaten the casino for $150,000 over the years. The way I figure it if you don't get greedy you can play forever. 1/8 or 1/10 works for me. A steady stream of pocket money for the extras.

My question is whether floorpersons walk over to the computers to type your name in to see if you pop up on any unwelcome player list? One of my fears is being flyer'd as a counter. My young complexion will likely lead to being asked for ID for years, and I'd rather not burn any bridges if it can be avoided.

Look brother I was in your exact shoes several years ago and to tell you the truth theres many different ways to approach whats best for you.
If you have a small bankroll (red-chip action) and are playing shoe games with like a 1-8 spread, then playing rated might not get you barred so easily. Also the comps you will receive will help with some expenses which is crucial to you because your ROR is probably higher than Green chip plus players.
In my case, when I started playing all my home casinos were an hour to hour and half away. So when I did go play I was looking to play max hours on each trip under best playing conditions. I was able to prevail n flip bankrolls early partly because of comps.
Luckily I never got barred from my home casinos. I built rapport early with dealers, PBs, and floor men. Always smile and be nice and if you have a sense of humor that definitely helps.
Also some casinos sweat there games more than others. All the casinos I've been barred from were on the LV Strip and exclusively on DD games.
For example, I was barred from SLS playing their DD game. I played with a 1-8 spread and only lasted 4 hours, which from what i heard was actually a long time lol. Also I was playing rated at the time. I've walked in back to that same casino and played several times (unrated this time) with no issue. I've just stayed away from the DD game and played with a 1-10 spread on the shoe game.
But back to your main question...
Usually a floor men will run your name is if you asked to be rated and don't have your players card on you. In that case they can find you in their system. From my experiences, if your a suspected AP, someone from surveillance comes down and usually asks for your ID before they barr you. In that case you should refuse and just cash out n leave.
