    No thanks!

    You don't want free stuff?

There's nothing you can offer that I can't pay for!

My wife thinks I am in Cleveland (or other city) and I do not ever want anything mailed to my home.

If I can afford to gamble then I don't need any free stuff anyway, but thanks.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

You can shorten that to a smile and: "I'm not here."

    1. No thanks. I've had identity theft issues in the past and I don't hand out my private info to just anyone.. Of course the casino will counter with some B.S. like we don't share personal info blah blah blah.

    2. No thanks. I'm in town on business and my RFB is already covered. Often they will pry and counter with. "Oh what business are you in town for?

Not to nitpick, but if I was sitting at a table and a ploppy refused his name by telling the pit boss he was afraid the pit boss would steal his identity, or anything remotely implying that, I'd begin to laugh hysterically...and at least one of them would feel awkward. Definitely would not call this a "best excuse." Still think "No, thanks" trumps them all.

Aside from these the KISS principle works best. (Keep It Simple Stupid).

Sir, would you like to be rated? No, that's OK.

Nothing more needs to be said. 99% of the time the pit replies with "OK, Let me know if you change your mind". Now, when you start to bet it up they may call a host over to try to get you to sign up and this is what I'd call mild heat, they want to know who you are. Sometimes they'll ask for your name as you leave just have a fake name in mind to give to them..."Bob" or "Bill" Something short and very common works best.

I'll add, one that always gets them is, "Sir would you like to be rated", No, that's OK, "well let me know if you'd like a card", Oh I already have a card, I'm only going to be here a few minutes and don't want to screw up my mailbox offers.
At one of the local casinos where I used to play carded, I asked what my rating was. They had no clue what I was talking about. They just enter my game analysis based on chip movement in the computer. I eventually realized that I was rewarded 1% per $100 coming in. Not worth the effort when I can just talk them into a comped meal any time.

But you are "nitpicking". And exposing your ignorance. Posts like these are the very reason why most regular "serious players" soon realize that after a while there is no reason to post on an open forum such as this.
PM's work. And eliminate all this ignorance.

    1. Doesn't matter - I've been the victim of identity theft twice, and it's not going to happen a third time.
    2. I never discuss business in a casino.

What happened next kind of shocked me and she carded me for my ID in order play blackjack. I haven't been carded in many, many years. Of course I denied and acted offended and said I no longer wanted to gamble there. My cash was still laying on the felt and I grabbed it and got out of there. That situation got tense in a hurry for not providing a players card.
I tried this excuse earlier this year. Apparently MLife is set up so you can receive a players card and opt out of the mailings at the same time. These days I just say no when asked
