I've done the drive from Reno to LV and vice versa many times. In a few weeks I'll be making the drive again. Not one time did I stop for more than gas or a piss lol. There is a nice stretch of highway where if I see if I can bury the needle on the rental car.

With about ten easy, inexpensive flights a day on Southwest, and the efficiency of Reno's small airport (rental car counters in the terminal, no shuttle to bother with), why would you make that awful drive rather than fly?

While I would not make that drive, I can easily embrace the notion of doing it ONCE.
