Stanford and I did little in the way of "search engine optimization," which is an area in which Mr. Chan has excelled. I also sold my share of the business. I will be staying on as a salaried employee. Stanford and I did not sell our condos as part of the deal.

Here is more information about Mr. Chan:

Mr. Chan has no interest in the identities of individual members. His focus is much wider. Also, anonymous memberships are and always have been possible.

Do you know, at this early junction, if there will be a change
in GreenChip membership fee or the price of CBJN ?

I don't know, but suspect that such changes are very far down on the list of priorities.

I would assume things like fees are a nit to Chan. He is more interested in exposure and, possibly, credence. I assume the site will see a software update. IMO, that's a positive. Some will disagree; but may be dragged into the 21st century. Payments can always be anonymized with a bit of effort. I don't see personal info, even cc info, in the way subscriptions are handled here. I pay PayPal to handle that crap and they hold all the private info.

Looks like Chan is interested in consolidating gambling-related sites. Looks like the multiple for BJTF just went up...

Can't imagine why anyone would sell a forum. It's so much fun.

I can think of about two million reasons why, in Shack's case.

Let me think. Couple million dollars versus herding cats, some of whom are on a mixture of catnip and angel dust.

Is it possible that all the AP's on that side are toast? Al may still moderate that forum but membership information, when released, could be provided to casino group and given today's technologies, everyone will ob on OSN.

No. There is no indication that Mr. Chan is anything but an honest, ethical businessman and former AP. Whatever the cretins at OSN and similar outlaw organizations would be willing to pay would be a pittance to Mr. Chan, certainly not worth destroying his reputation and a newly-purchased website.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
