Stanford and I did little in the way of "search engine optimization," which is an area in which Mr. Chan has excelled. I also sold my share of the business. I will be staying on as a salaried employee. Stanford and I did not sell our condos as part of the deal.

I would assume things like fees are a nit to Chan. He is more interested in exposure and, possibly, credence. I assume the site will see a software update. IMO, that's a positive. Some will disagree; but may be dragged into the 21st century. Payments can always be anonymized with a bit of effort. I don't see personal info, even cc info, in the way subscriptions are handled here. I pay PayPal to handle that crap and they hold all the private info.

No. There is no indication that Mr. Chan is anything but an honest, ethical businessman and former AP. Whatever the cretins at OSN and similar outlaw organizations would be willing to pay would be a pittance to Mr. Chan, certainly not worth destroying his reputation and a newly-purchased website.
