Here's a short story I wanted to share about a recent trip I had. I travel the Midwest quite a bit and I'm able to play several times a month as a part time pro. I visited a very small store recently with a handful of Bj tables and about 500 slots. Typically those are my favorite places to do a hit and run of a couple hundred, check out the buffet, live entertainment etc... and return later. I bought in for 200 floor was notified and pit boss asked me 3 times for a players card or my D.L. I politely declined twice then asked why, and did I need one to play? her response was " To build points" I chuckled and said you don't have a buffet here only a deli, you don't have a hotel, what are the points for, I can pay for my drinks and sandwiches. She got pissed and walked off I was like wtf. Dealer said never mind her.
After several losing hands at table minimum bet they switched dealers and the table went to a tc of 2 I raised my bet to 25 dealer yells green action. I laughed on the inside and wondered what do they do with a black chip. Dealer busted I won and parlayed dealer yells "double green action." The count went back negative so I went back to a little more than table minimum, and dealer yells "Action reduced" or something similar. 2 players left the table and one had pocketed a green chip and probably 5 reds pit boss walked over and stopped the game wanting to know which one of the players left with the green chip. Dealer didn't see as her attention was somewhere else she was reprimanded in front of us. I didn't stay long enough to see a tc of 6 to play a black or parlay to one but I'm thinking if I had and won that might of gotten the tap. However after 2.5-3hrs of play... story of my recent life I left a $200 loser vs. a $100 winner and maybe it was better that way so I know not to go back.
