    New to BJF

    Hey everyone,

Just registered to be a part of the forum. Ive been counting for about 7 months now, low BR start out (5k) and playing fairly conservatively, but have managed to double up and then some. I first joined blackjackapprenticeship.com and used their hi-lo strategy to play. Always looking for new tools to add to the arsenal and new tricks to make use of.
    Thanks all.

Welcome. The fact that you know, up front, that 5K is a low bankroll shows promise. Some come here with $200 as a bankroll. At the start, risk of ruin is what nails most beginners. And, it's also why casinos are insane to ban obvious counters.

I learned that pretty quickly lol. Its funny how quickly money can disappear even on a great game and excellent counts. Playing pretty conservatively at first was a slow road to where I was trying to go, but it was safe (relatively speaking). Its so funny looking back now at how i was sweating a $50 max beat, thinking God and the world knew i was counting..and now I'm at double that as a max (and still know thats low compared to what a lot bet at, but to me felt super high in the moment). Its been fun though and I'm enjoying it and hope to continue to grow the BR and hopefully will eventually be able to even pay myself .

Thank you for the welcome and here is hoping to learn, learn and learn some more. BTW, CVCX, definitely one of the best investments i could have possibly made. Really was an eye opener to how big of a difference something like penetration, splitting to two hands and back counting can REALLY make on your chances of being successful.

    Welcome BJAvengers.
Thinking of the chips as units as opposed to dollars helps the roller coaster ride.
