May I add, Norm, that there is nothing new about people buying these pie in the sky systems.
Thank you Victorino. The article poster by Richard Munchkin quoting Bryce Carlson has some solid information and the 5 year study might be the best there has ever been about the subject. There is still a strong market for the believers of the impossible. Players will be setting the die before throwing them just as they always have. The profitable rolls will be fun and surely because of their rolls. Tosses for losses will be variance. I still like SW and his BJ contributions also.
The Edge on the Come Out is so strong if you can alter the dice enough to roll fewer 7's such that you have no come-out edge you're edge on the back side would be pretty gigantic. Alternatively you could just bet the Don't Pass on the come-out instead of the Pass Line since someone who rolls fewer 7's would have a giant edge on the Don't Pass and Don't Come. If you thought you were so good you'd make your point you could just take the DOn't bet down after it establishes a point and make a fresh Don't Come Bet.
Minor changes in the probability distribution of the dice can amount to massive swings in advantage...roll more 7's and the house gets the edge on the Pass and the Player gets the Edge on the Don't. Roll fewer 7's and the Player gets the Edge on the Pass and the House gets the Edge on the Don't. Someone who can alter the probability even a little bit can become a millionaire very quickly...if none of the Craps sharpshooters have made millions from their skill it follows that they don't have the skill the tout. How can they have the confidence to sell an expensive seminar to teach controlled shooting and yet not have the confidence to put serious money behind their throws. It just doesn't jibe.
No, it doesn't jibe. Those who claim DC not surprisingly keep no records proving their claim, at least, none you can trust. Even Snyder did not keep sufficient records of practice throws under ideal conditions to prove one way or the other. Every dice man has his stories, and I think those inevitable long runs probably convince them of abilities they really do not possess. I'd like to see the long-term win/loss records of so-called DC artists. I already believe I know what they would show-- something in excess of -1%. If I ever do learn DC, I will tell no one my secret, let alone teach it to the masses-- you can take that to the bank.
Aslan 11/1/90 - 6/15/10 Stormy 1/22/95 - 8/23/10... “Life’s most urgent question is: what are you doing for others?” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
Come on Aslan, you'd teach little ol me wouldn't ya? Heck, I would keep your secret. By the way,
who says they don't play. I thought they did but then again, if I was making 103,500 bucks in
one weekend teaching this I could afford to play a little even if I was just a random
thrower.
It should be noted that they give courses at and in conjunction with casinos with deals on casino room rates, etc. The casinos want these people playing on their property.
On the Craps five-count, they claim that Dr. Don Catlin performed simulations proving the five-count will identify "hot shooters." I looked at this years back. The "sim" assumed there was such a thing as a hot shooter. Basically, it "proved" a theory that it assumed. Well, of course something is true in a theorem if you assume it is true. He simulated several shooters, some of which win and some lose. He then made a leap of logic and declared that the five-count identified the "hot shooters." Well, it definitely will identify the shooters that did well in the past. This would be valuable if you could bet on past throws. It's like asking the winner of a lottery to teach you his system.

Is it legal to sell a course on a system that doesn't work? Isn't that what they do? Is it any different from selling fake goods? Just wait until they have enough graduates and the casinos get racked up. Oh yeah, the casinos give special promotions and room rates for the graduates.
