How to NOT see annyoing members comments and posts... using IGNORE button

Step 1) Find a post by the person you want to ignore , or search for thier name on the Member list

Step 2) Click on their screen-name and options will come up , choose "View Profile"

Step 3) Under their name and avatar , option will be there , click "Ignore this user"

Step 4) a new screen will appear making sure you want to do this , Click "Yes"

    Pictures are included ,

Unfortunately , when other members use the "Quote" option , you will still see the blocked persons words/nonsense etc...

But the more people block a person , the less the words get quoted .

Anyone in particular that you had in mind, Nikky_Flash?

Actually a very timely post on your part and I just went a head and used this feature for the first time. Enough is enough.

Norm, can you see how many users IGNORE a particular user? If so, please consider backing them off when a threshold number is reached (10?)

This is a nice tool to use when it gets to the point where half the posts on the site are a couple members going from thread to thread to thread trolling each other.

There is a VBulletin V3 mod that provides this function. I could probaby find the needed SQL statement in the code.

There is a mod for this available that I've thought of adding. But, it requires rebuilding the post cache -- which is a lengthy process. There is another mod that removes the Quote button from the first and last post. There is no reason to quote these, and most quotes are of the last post. You can still use Quick Quote if you need to quote portions, which is better anyhow. I nearly always use Quick Quote. http://www.blackjacktheforum.com/sho...56-Quick-Quote
