    Shoe info

    Hi,
I started to play Blackjack a few weeks ago. The casino where I play has a 6 decks shoe. But there is something strange about what they're doing. Once a hand is over they put the cards in the discard tray. But when the next hand is beginning the dealer deals then before anyone can speak he takes them and put them back in the shoe.
I was following the red seven strategy, and it was working so far but I start to ask myself if it wasn't just luck. What happen to the cards the dealer puts back into the shoe? Are they re-shuffling into the rest of the cards or are they staying in the back of the cards which haven't been dealt yet?
    Hope you can help me.
    Sincerely,
    Martin C

are the cards taken out of the discard tray , then put back into the shoe behind the cut card ? and this is during play ? this is odd , I'm guessing this would be a sorry attempt to make it more difficult to see how far dealt a shoe is ...
how do they do a shuffle ?
when is the shoe considered over ?
must be a cut card ....
if they stop at the cut card and reshuffle , then your red sevens will be OK... just use the shoe and cut card and remember how much pen they gave to estimate decks dealt...
but if they don't stop at the cut card , for a re -shuffle, I have no clue what's going on ...

    Hi,
thanks for your fast reply. I've never seen a shuffle so far... They put back the cards on the top of the shoe and the machine is taking them inside one by one. Will I look suspicious if I asked some detail about the shoe and the shuffle?
    sincerely,
    Martin

This is a continuous shuffle machine.
    You can not count it.
    Find somewhere else to play.

thirdbaseman is right , you can Google search "csm machine " for more info , if you want to use your red sevens skills , sorry , gotta find a real shoe game where you can see all the cards...
besides it being shuffled on a continual basis ,
like Norm said , "would you play a game of cards where the guy dealing, shuffled the cards under the table , where you can't see ?"

I don't think it is unreasonable to ask "so, I never see you stop to shuffle the cards... how does that work?"

If that's what the "shoe" looks like... yeah. It's not a shoe, it's a shuffler.
May the cards fall in your favor.

Take it a step farther and make sure that the floor hears you say that you won't play those conditions. This is the only recourse we players have against even more ruinous game conditions.
