I've heard dealers refer to a liberal tipper as a "George". Does anyone know the origin of that term? Thanks
Costanza?! Haha.
A guess is they keep giving the dealers white chips. Equivalent of a George Washington bill.
George and Tom are old terms used in various contexts in gaming. In this instance a George is a big tipper, a Tom is a poor tipper. There is a different meaning in a cheating context.
