Some roulette player believe in a "personal permanence". For them EVERY game has an effect for the next game. So they play at home and then go to the casino to continue the personal permanence. For roulette player is it equal how they determine their bets because they will always play with a -EV. For BJ player is this deepest voodoo.
For either player it is sheer insanity.
If anything, a repeating win at roulette could point to a gaffed wheel, so if "black" comes up many more times than "red," instead of "red" being due, "black" would be more likely to continue. This, of course, takes home play completely out of the equation, not that it should have ever been there in the first place.

i've wondered the same, but one thing is, you will know your money isn't increasing or decreasing when you observe the simulated play.
there might actually be something to it though for your observation of the record of your play results, in that those results would 'smooth out' more towards the expected results over time. but regardless, what you can or should expect for the short run, errhh and long run regarding your play in casino is what you expect and nothing more or less.
example: the probability of getting a royal flush is circa 1/40000 per hand. uhhmmk, i push the button one time on my home vp simulator and bingo i have a royal. but omg, i'm just heading out the door to play vp at the casino. so i a'int gettin no royal at the casino, right? well, right, lmao, but not because i just got one, lol, but because the probability of getting a royal flush is circa 1/40000 per hand.
no & noCould simulated play end a losing streak?
Could simulated play end a winning streak?
for your recorded play results yes, but let's not forget far as money, it's the real stuff and monopoly moneyCould it get you into the long run sooner?
as in the vp example above, your expectation is your expectation, nuthin more or nuthin less. What if you only go to a real casino when you are winning on your simulator.
bad idea, lol, but maybe try it out on a simulator only.Someone in Vegas with easy access might want to test the above and post your results here.
edit: by the way far as thinking outside the box, jaygruden has it right. wanna think outside the box? think like an AP, far as the thinking goes in a casino, it's way outside the box, far way from any kind of thinking goes on in any noggins inside those joints, lol.

I am releasing CVDiet V1.0, the ultimate in diet simulation software. It simulates eating carrots and celery. Coupled with CVExercise V1.0, which simulates running a marathon, and you have the ultimate diet program. Simply run the first program for 30 minutes, and then the second for three hours; and you can eat anything you wish without gaining weight.

Do I have to be present while either of the programs is running? Is it more important to be present at one than the other? If I just skip the first program, will I lose weight faster?
Even though this is break-through technology, I hope you are not charging much, because some people may realize that they can get the same thing for free (well, almost) simply by eating celery and carrots and running in place at home. You may delete this post if you think I have revealed too much information.

If you're not much into math, and you really want to test your hypothesis, try playing on your computer, then instead of going to the casino, play on a second computer. Actually, you can use the same computer (the cards won't know the difference), but label your second set of simulated results, casino play. This way, you can test your theory without risking a dime. Test winning streaks, losing streaks, and switching while on a winning streak.
You also mentioned getting to the long run sooner. That may be impossible to determine, since if your test (playing at home, then going to casino) gets you to the long run in X amount of time, how will you then determine how long it would have taken you if you had not played at home in the first place? You may need a third computer, but I'll have to think on this one for a while.
