    SCORE Question

    Score A 15.48
    Score B 16.69
Score B is 7.8% greater than Score A.

Can someone explain how I do the math to show that Score B is 7.8% greater than Score A?

I don't know how you get the answer for SCORE B to be 7.8% greater than Score A? I got the answer to be 7.25%.

I have a feeling you're right and I'm not, seriousplayer. I was copying and pasting and I think I may have scrambled some numbers. Could you explain how to do the math that gets you 7.25%?

    (16.69-15.48)/15.48*100%=7.82% greater

At the same time A is 7.25% less than B because the number in the denominator is the number that is the baseline for your comparison, and the baseline switches when you switch the direction of the comparison around.

    Or you can multiply 16.69 x 100 = 1669 then divide 1669/15.48 = 107.816. You then subtract 107.816-100 = 7.82% because it is out of 100 %.
