Why not just call me a racist while your at it? For the record:
Your whole argument is based on twisting of facts. The offer is not to buy half interest in the hand it is to pay you what you are willing to sell it for per your intention to surrender to be the new owner of the hand. If you take my money we have a verbal contract as binding as any in writing. If you don't like that deal then don't sell the hand to me. Trying to change the deal after the hand is won is breaking the verbal contract. I could say a lot of other things that it is but everyone including the casino would see it that way. You could probably keep my money and the winnings giving me nothing if you are a thief. Technically you own the hand but then you stole my money because I paid you for it and you kept everything. It is like me paying for your used car on a handshake agreement until you get the title so I can legally get ownership of the car and instead you just keep my money.

You act like the offer was to buy half interest in the hand. That offer was never made so it can't be accepted. It was never on the table. Nobody will buy 50% of a losing hand. I can't see how you can consistently base your argument that that was the offer made. The offer was to pay you what the casino is paying you for the hand so it can be played as my hand as I direct your hand signals if it is required. I have seen casinos allow the purchaser to make the signals but usually the original better must make them. The dealer often gives the money to the buyer but some will say to the seller here is the other guys chips for you to give to him. Some casinos don't allow betting on others side bets or scavenger plays because of disreputable types that would screw their fellow players. The casino usually doesn't do anything about it but I have seen a pit boss explain it to someone and the guy refused to pay after the dealer explained what happened. The pit boss said she was trying to be nice by asking him to pay the other player but if he refused the police would be called. The guy paid the fellow player the money. He painted himself the supreme Ah*le and got nothing for it. All he got was distain from all the other players, a reputation as a scammer and a spot on the casino troublemaker list.

Sorry Dead Horse, but what of my original query, I buy your surrender for $55.00, a 5% premium over your original bet or a 10% premium over your surrender amount ??
You still get no skin in the outcome, but my offer is superior to the house, yes ?

I qwould sEll you my surrender hand at what the house would pay me. If i wanted to play the hand I would play it. I just want half my bet to get rid of it. If you want it I am fine with that for 1/2 my bet.

If you're asking me, no. We're in on the hand 50/50 and that's how it's going to be divied up.

Tthree, just shut your fat mouth. I couldn't have stated it any more clearly and you keep insisting that I'm trying to stiff you, when I said nothing of the sort. I'd tell you right up front that if you want to "buy" my surrender and have me play it out that we are in the hand together and you'll get 50% of my winnings if I win the hand. It was my original bet and I had to play out the hand. I'm entitled to 50% because you talked me out of surrendering the hand and we are now 50/50 partners in the hand. Now quit acting like you have the reading comprehension of a 2 year old. If you don't like my terms than don't hone in on the hand with me when I didn't ask you to. Those are my terms, and they would be any reasonable persons terms. Now quit all the BS and slander. Try to be nice and fair for a change.

So, back to the original point, yes, buying surrenders can be valuable. It's a form of scavenger play, which can be extremely valuable.

Perhaps we should just leave it at that......

Slow down, killer. You have a $100 hand, I "50/50" invest with you for $50. The hand wins. You give me 50% of the wins (ie: $50)?

I believe you have reading comprehension trouble. You are offered to have someone buy your surrender. If you agrre they own the hand. If you tell them what you want there is no deal to any sane person. So what are you talking about? A deal tha t nobody would make with you? If they make a deal with you they aren't making the deal you offer. So in a thread about buying surrender hands you want to talk about making them partners? That is not what we are discussing and nobody would do it with you so there is no point to your posts. People have tried over and over to explain what we are talking about here is buying surrenders as a scavenger play and you keep insisting you can get people to go partnes with you. Nobody would do that and that is not what we are discussing.

Now do you have anything constructive to add to the thread? We know you wouldn't make the deal that most players would. All your talk is about something that will never happen unless a player stiffs another on the deal. Given that nobody would make your deal deceit is implied and everyone has assumed that is what you mean. Now whether you would allow your hand to be scavenged by another is not the point of the thread. Most players would allow it but not all. Nobody offering to buy a surrender is going togo partners on the hand.

Now that you understand nobody in this thread is talking about going halves with you maybe you can contribute something to the thread. You have said I don't see why anyone would do it, yet most are open to it. You are at a disconnect with what people would do. Now get in your mind that other people will do this and contribute to the thread.

My lack of response in the latter part of this thread is in no way associated with the humor value I've gleaned from it. I've equated your position to another poster in another forum who, in my view, is also pig headed and stubborn ( not that it is a bad thing), though, no disrespect intended, would seem to somewhat more intelligent. Well....maybe a little disrespect. You are absolutely determined to get in the last word, to defend an indefensible position. A smart guy would know when to shut his mouth and cut his losses, and this time - no disrespect intended.

Though I've been active on this board only a short time, you've impressed me, negatively, with your lack of decorum and
sensitivity. Ill hold off on examples. The smart play is not to respond to this - though I suspect you will.

    Sincerely
    Freightman
