My ISP used to show the baud rate at which I got connected to the Internet. For whatever reason, they don't do that anymore. I was happy to see 44+ bps, but now I have no clue.

Is there an easy way for me to see what rate I'm connected at, so that if it was really low, I could just try to reconnect?

Methinks it's getting close to dumping the dial-up modem stuff. I have the jingle muted, but sometimes I feel cobwebs are growing on me. Periodically I get dropped out within just a few minutes of connection.

My ISP is only $10.95 per month, but the aggravation factor is beginning to take a toll on my happy face.

Suggestions?

Thanks
