Is it just me or is the quality of blackjack dealers these days going downhill? In years past I seem to remember most dealers being fast and accurate but since I have gotten back in the game after a 10 year layoff I have played with a lot of dealers who:

Will stop in the middle of a game to discuss ploppy logic with the players, "If you would have hit he would have busted but they would have won, yada, yada".

Pitch the cards off the table with alarming consistency.

Cannot add the cards in their own hands without taking what seems like forever.

Make a lot of payoff errors in the house's favor.

Tear the cards getting them out of the shoe.

Stop dealing to listen to announcements on the house PA system about slot jackpot winners.

Stop dealing to converse with people about outside interests, even if the people are walking down the aisle and not playing.

I wonder if the proliferation of so many casinos nationwide has made finding enough qualified dealers difficult, or if there is not enough dealer training or what? This sort of stuff happens everywhere I go lately.
