Many counts besides Hi Lo to use, no need to reinvent the wheel "Mr. Squares". Many APs use Hi Lo due to it's simplicity, which reduces mental fatigue and errors. I personally use REKO 6 Deck Full, which is even easier than Hi Lo (no TC conversion), but still performs within fractions of percentage points of Hi Lo efficiency in the six deck game (it even performs better than Hi Lo in poor penetration games if Hi Lo were to use the same indexes as REKO 6D F) and I can count all day long if I want to. Also, if you're going to take the game seriously, I highly recommend you bite the bullet and purchase CV Data. In the long run it will save you many times its cost by allowing you to run your own sims and answer most of your "I wonder if..." questions on your own without having to blindly accept someone else's potentially incorrect answer.
