Hello everybody,

First time poster here.

In perusing the archives, I've noticed there is a famous (or infamous) member named Zee, I am not he. I'm ZZZZZ. So to not step on any toes, don't call me Zee. (Anybody remember "You can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay..."?)

Anyway, I've been a recreational counter since the early 1970s after I picked up Thorpe's Beat the Dealer for 25 cents at a used bookstore.

I'm retired now and have more time to devote to BJ and AP. I'm been to Vegas a few times this year and have had fairly good results while playing $5 tables and refreshing and sharpening my skills.I'll be heading back there in another few weeks for three days.

There are a couple of things I hope some of you veterans can help me with.

First thing I've noticed is that almost every player at every table at every casino has a player's card, except me. In the eyes of the Eye in the Sky and the Pit People, do I stick out like a sore thumb based on that alone? I am reluctant to sign up just based on privacy concerns, but is being an identified, non-anonymous player part of an effective cover? Is it needed?

Second, I try to stay off the Strip, because I don't like the crowds, traffic and all the distractions, and the low-stakes games just aren't very favorable. I don't know if it's cool to name actual casinos. but the ones I seem to have found a home at is the chain of about 10 casinos which includes the big building in SE Vegas/Henderson with a great view of the Sunset. They have a good 2 deck game, reasonably good rules, 3/2 BJ, and consistent 70% or so penetration using the slot in the discard tray, Am I missing anything about favoring these casinos? Are there other places to put on my radar?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

ZZZZZ
