I have been hanging out in the same casino for months and playing here full time with no heat. It was probably because I was losing most of the time. Then yesterday, I had an insane run that is unlikely to happen once in 100 years. My results were more than 4 standard deviations above EV. Since I am not playing blackjack, I think they were previously in denial that the game could be beaten, but because of my run yesterday, they have finally started implementing countermeasures. The thing is, even after the countermeasures, my hourly is still almost barely worth my time. It is illegal for them to back me off in this state, so countermeasures are their only option.

I heard one of the pit bosses question whether the countermeasures would last just for the weekend or not (didn't hear the response). The countermeasures are affecting dozens of disadvantaged gamblers, and the more extreme they are, the less fun the game is for the disadvantaged gamblers, and the less theoretical the casino gets.

So I wonder if I should just call their bluff and keep playing? It's clear that they've never had to do this before, so I don't know if they are even sure that they're killing my hourly. If I leave, then they will know their countermeasure worked. They might just be temporarily doing it in hopes that it will make me leave. Maybe if I stay, they will think it's not working and will lift it. But then again, maybe some kind of unforeseen and undesirable thing could happen if I stay. Do you think I should stay or go?
