kc: Sp 21 rules
Could someone please list the rules of Spanish 21, listing the rules that are for the most part in place in a typical Sp 21 game and also those that may or may not be in place in a Sp 21 game.
Thanks in advance.

There are 5 different SP21 games in North America.
1) H17 (6 and 8 deck)
2) S17 (6 and 8 deck)
3) S17, no draws on split Aces (6 and 8 decks)
4) H17 with redoubling (6 and 8 deck)
5) H17, where A-X or X-A after split pays 3:2 (only at the Meskwaki casino Iowa).
2), 4), and 5) are big-time profitable games for the counter. Better than BJ.
The good games can be found on www.spanish21.com/goodlocations.php
All of the above can occur with or without late surrender (usually with). No late surrender is expensive for the counter, but for the BS player, it costs only 0.01 - 0.02%, depending on S17 or H17.
The general rules are:
1. Not last chance doubling. This means you can double on any number of cards.
2. Player 21 always wins.
3. Player natural always gets paid out at 3:2
4. Can forfeit after doubling.
5. Bonuses paid on 6-7-8 and 7-7-7.
6. All the ten-spot cards are taken out.
