    Wong in, wong out

I for one would love to up my game with these tactics. I do wong out and use many excuses doing so, but I seldom wong in. Since I realize the advantage of wonging out from experience, it seems wonging in would be just as helpful. Like many, I would rather start a session and play than walk and search. Every time I attempt to wong in I feel a pit watching me like I am doing something wrong and then I think I may be a marked man before I sit down to play. Then there seems to be so much time involved with wonging in. There must be a lot more to the art of wonging in than out. If this is a sensitive subject, I understand.

You have to pick your spots. Many tables open in multiple pits. The places I go on Friday and Saturday nights have crowded aisles so that someone standing around isn't noticed. If I catch the attention of a PB while increasing bets, I avoid that pit the remainder of the evening. There are other little tricks. One place I go is near a major sports venue. I go after a game dressed in team colors.

    excellent topic, imho.
wonging? heck, can anyone think of any advantage play for which wonging isn't the essence of the play?
it's like hunting, scouting, like a endlessly patient stalking predator in the animal world, a very primordial thing it is, no?
a necessary part of the energy efficiency requirements of life in the natural world. the most efficient, the most patient, the hardest working, longest suffering and creative will win the prize in the long run, but yup wonging is a part of that mix, no doubt.
heck even take, blackjack for instance, even when you are not wonging (play all) you really are wonging, with your patient watchful waiting bet, lol.

There's usually no need to see more than two rounds at a table. if it's not going positive, move on, assuming you're in a casino with a good number of tables open.

Learn to count down two adjacent tables at a time.

Thank you. I am guessing there is no need to count down a table where there are 3 or more players. If I was with another AP, we could cover more tables and both enter the game or is it better to both find different tables. Now I have thrown in t 2 man team play, but it seems we would get more plus action.

Depends on how you guys play. If you are both at the same table you are eating cards.

Don't think of it like that. You have started your session, it's just that your betting $0 instead of the table minimum until you find your advantage.

I like that viewpoint. Also, try to avoid the "need" to be in action.

I don't mind counting down a nearly full table. The decision to stay or move on comes much quicker, so you don't look so obvious standing around.

EXACTLY!!!! don't be an action junkie!
it's the fact that others are wasteful action junkie's that provide us our opportunities.
also, as a corollary, like your tagline "Life is short so hit it hard!", it's incumbent upon us (because of natural laws of nature) to make the most efficient use of our territory, not letting life sustaining energy go to waste, as there may always be others (competitors) laying in wait who may take it over, either lay waste to it, squander the value or perhaps worse for us, make better use of it.

I tend to disagree with this statement as I have found more than a few opportunites when a few short stacked players quit as the count sky-rockets early in a shoe.
