    jason Dunn: A8 vs 5,6

I play mostly 8 deck dealer stand on 17 games (atlantic city) I almost never split 10 vs 5,6 when the count justifies doing so because even though it is a valuable play, it just draws too much attention. Even if the pit isnt closely watching, other players generally make such a fuss that it still draws attention. Lately I have been feeling similar about doubling A8 vs 5,6. My indices for this move is +1, which happens fairly frequestly. Usually when I double on this someone makes a comment, which of course can draw attention. wondering how others handle these plays. maybe I'm just being paranoid.

like to ask how others handle this play A8 vs 5,6

I don't feel this is a giveaway move. I do it everytime.

I play mostly in the same type of game. I wouldn't say the opportunity comes very often, but I always make that double at >=+1. I've had a few comments, but nothing to worry about.
