Jomoats: Throp left the gate before the gun was fired. :-)
I have a playing advantage that's contrary to established views. Either I'm right and the establishment is wrong, or I'm right and the establishment is partially wrong in giving their advantage more significance than more important factors.
If you're an academic with a math background, then contact me - fame awaits you.
I reserve the right to pick and choose.

Nicholas Bernard Throp, bass player for the British rock band Curiosity Killed the Cat.

Sorry it's early, resistance is futile.

You should have presumed "Dr. Throp" from the contents of the post.
The scam buster specialist " Norm Wattenberger" below sees scams everywhere. Of course a math professor should be very easy to scam. So before contacting me check with Norm
and make sure your defenses are up to date.

Sorry everyone! My profile shows the e-mail with a .net but appeared as a com when I posted.

Trapper: Dr. Throp I presume..
Do you mean Edward Thorp (Beat the Dealer) or are you referring to someone else -at least one mathematician named Dr. Throp pops up when googled. If you have a legitimate new approach to BJ advantage play, Norm would be a good person to contact. If he doesn't have time, I'm sure he could point you in the right direction.

Yes you presume correctly (Dr Edward Thorp of Beat the Dealer).
Norm would jump on the bandwagon only after seeing a positive analysis of my concept. His cement-set mind wouldn't allow anything to enter unless it related to counting. On the other hand I dare to say that Dr Throp would probably be more receptive to a new application of a new or old idea.
Just to titillate everyones' mind, I quote from one of Dr. Throp's papers on Richard Reid's site, where he speaks to the Kelly criteria. He writes "The fundamental problem in gambling is to find positive expectation betting opportunities. The analogous problem in investing is to find investments with excess risk-adjusted expected rates of return. Once these favorable opportunities have been identified, the gambler or investor must decide how much of his capital to bet." Seems true enough or is it?
I contend that if the above was written differently the analysis would have gone in a different direction. I've included enough to prevent discovery of my concept.

You won't be the first person that's been misunderstood.
I'll try not to mention your name again.

Jomoats: Only for you.

If you would like to write down how you wish to be perceived, I'll adopt that perception.

Trapper: A couple of quesions.
You used to post on another site as North Wind, right?
Is your idea a progression?
