Jomoats: An interesting sim that might be of value..

to counters. How often does the first 52 card of an eight deck shoe result in a balanced count? If over or under, then each remaining deck has a new starting value. Is there a balanced count after 104 cards etc. Can the first deck be treated as if playing against a single deck?

After the first deck was played and wasn't balanced, then a player should be able to start a new count with the next deck using the new values instead of continuing with the old count from the first deck.

If the first deck is over balanced then all the remaining decks have a negative value.

No. Not unless you know it's count beforehand.

The "new value" is the "old count from the first deck."

Well all of them together. That's called card counting.
