10-liner: Standard deviation in single deck
Rules:
1D
S17
DOA
DAS
No resplits
I have always used 1.15 as the standard deviation in blackjack, that being the figure for the generic 6D game, but the SD of single deck may be higher, given the greater doubling opportunities.
What is the exact figure for the standard deviation of a hand under these rules?

I get 1.152. How much for a seat in your time machine These are positive expectation rules.

Thanks, Norm.
No need to buy any seats - it's an online game, so no counting opportunities. The reason for my question was a session of 590 initial hands resulting in a loss of 93.5 units. I needed to ascertain the correct figure to work out the exact SD swing. I find such an extreme negative result eyebrow-raising in the extreme. What do you think, if I may ask?

That's like .04% probability, assuming flat betting.
